New York Bakery does not have designated key performance indicators against slavery and human trafficking specifically. However we assess the compliance of our business functions by implementing due-diligence mechanisms, including right to work statements and auditing protocols, as appropriate.

As part of Grupo Bimbo, New York Bakery is required by law to publish an annual gender pay gap report in respect of the new statutory provisions on Gender Pay Gap reporting. New York Bakery currently employ over 600 associates across the UK and operates two manufacturing sites in the UK and has its HQ in Heathrow, London. The information used to compile this report was taken in March 2019.

Our mean hourly pay gap for women is 4% less than men

Our median hourly pay gap for women is 0% less than men

Pay Quartiles by gender

The male / female split in our quartile figures is broadly aligned with the proportion of men and women in each of those groups.

New York Bakery is satisfied that there is no gender bias in the pay of males and females where our associates perform the same roles.

At New York Bakery we have 42 employers who receive a bonus, 21 males and 21 females, this is predominantly made up of the leadership team (Directors) and Senior managers across the business. The pay gap identified in this report is wholly attributable to the fact that we have disproportionately higher numbers of men in our more senior roles and we are now working hard to address this. This imbalance also explains the difference in the bonus payments where higher payments are made to those in more senior positions and having the majority of males in the more senior levels exacerbates this issue.

Our mean bonus pay gap for women is 74% less than men Our median bonus pay gap for women is 50% less than men.

Proportion of men receiving a bonus is 8% and Proportion of women receiving a bonus is 8%

We are committed to the principles of Diversity and Inclusion and will continue to review our recruitment policies for the more senior roles so that they are aligned with best practice for attracting and retaining our female talent pool.
